An original painting of a place that matters to you.

A familiar street, a childhood home, a favourite neighbourhood or a building that holds a special memory. Certain places become part of our lives, and are worth remembering in their own way.

The Process.

Each commission is developed in close discussion with you, from the initial concept to completion.

[01 INITIAL ENQUIRY]

Share the place you have in mind and what makes it meaningful to you. You can include photographs, references or any details you would like me to consider.

[02 DISCUSSION & QUOTATION]

We will discuss the subject, composition, preferred size, colour direction and timeline. I will provide a quotation for your consideration.

Once confirmed, you may secure your commission with either full payment or a 50% deposit. I will then prepare a preliminary composition image for your approval, with one round of adjustments included before painting begins.

[03 PAINTING]

Once the sketch is approved, I will begin developing your painting in oil over approximately 8–12 weeks, including a few weeks for the painting to completely dry. I will share progress updates as the work takes shape.

[04 COMPLETION & DELIVERY]

Once completed, the remaining balance is payable. Your painting will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Framing and delivery will also be arranged. Do allow 1 week for framing.

Each commission is individually priced according to its size and complexity. All paintings are professionally framed and ready to display.

Prices are indicative starting rates and may be adjusted over time. Final quotations will be provided based on the size, subject matter and complexity of each commission.

  • Yes. Photographs provide a starting point for understanding the place and its details. I use them as references to develop an original interpretation through my own approach to composition, colour and light, rather than producing an exact reproduction.

  • A typical commission takes approximately 10–12 weeks from approval of the base photograph, as oil paintings need a few weeks to dry before varnishing. The expected timeline will be confirmed before your commission begins.

  • No. You can start by sharing the place you have in mind. We can discuss the appropriate size, composition and other details together.

  • Yes. I personally arrange and oversee the framing of each painting before delivery, ensuring that the finished artwork is properly presented and ready to display. Please note that delivery does not include installation or hanging of the painting on your wall.

  • Yes. Commissions can be arranged for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, housewarmings and other occasions.

  • Yes, overseas delivery can be arranged. Additional shipping costs and arrangements will depend on the destination, packaging requirements and delivery method. These details will be discussed and confirmed before the commission is finalised.

  • You own the physical painting once full payment has been made. Copyright remains with the artist, including the right to reproduce and display the work for portfolio and promotional purposes, unless otherwise agreed.
